Welcome from LML and UNLV

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of Let Me Learn, Inc. and the University of Nevada Las Vegas, I invite you to attend the Third Annual Forum on Higher Education Learning Issues in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 15-16, 2009.

Our conference theme “Don’t Leave Learning to Chance: Understanding Learning Diversity” represents both commonality of learning issues in higher education across disciplines as well as academic and student affairs while offering solutions for the individual.

We encourage you to attend one of the two workshops after the keynote address. One is on an advanced learning system that focuses on and empowers the learner to create personal strategies that can be used with intention both in and out of the classroom. The second one describes how one can use this system in a team-building setting.

The conference schedule is created with multiple learning opportunities in mind. We have several concurrent presentations on learning issues as well as informal opportunities for networking.

We are very excited to have as our keynote speaker Doris “Dori” Helms, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Clemson University. She has spent her life experiencing and focusing on learning diversity issues.

Finally, one of the last sessions of the conference will be an open forum on learning diversity issues. This will be an opportunity for you to share your views on this important topic, to participate in stimulating discussion, and to identify areas for future dialogue.

We are looking forward to a great forum in Las Vegas. We anticipate this being an exciting and rewarding experience, both personally and professionally.
